Sponsor a Student

All of our students are extraordinary and have overcome a lot in their education journey. While we’d like to tell all of their stories, let’s start with some stories selected especially for you.

Kelly

High school

Kelly is an ambitious and hardworking young man from Naivasha who has recently started junior high school. He lives with his twin brother, elder sister (who is in Form 3), and their parents. His father, who previously worked as a PTA (Parent Teacher Association) teacher, was laid off earlier this year due to illness. Battling diabetes and high blood pressure, he is currently unable to work. Kelly’s mother, the family’s sole breadwinner, also suffers from severe asthma, which often impacts her ability to perform the casual jobs she relies on to support her family.

Despite these hardships, Kelly remains focused on his dreams. He wants to become a software engineer and enjoys working on the computers set up at his school through Moja Tu’s partnership with Techlit Africa. His love for technology, his artistic talent for drawing, and his passion for soccer make him a well-rounded student with great potential.

Your support is crucial for Kelly to continue his education and achieve his dream of becoming a software engineer. By sponsoring Kelly, you will not only help him overcome the financial challenges his family is facing but also play a significant role in shaping his future. Sponsor Kelly today!

About this Sponsorship

Sponsoring a secondary student is $1,020 a year, or $85 per month. Co-sponsoring a secondary student is $600 a year, or $50 per month. This amount covers the students’ tuition fees, and buys school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other personal effects required to live at boarding school.

The Sponsor Experience

  • Cassie and Elijah

“When we signed up to sponsor our students, we hoped it would help improve their lives. What we didn’t expect was how it would change ours.

Our students have become our teachers about life, gratitude, optimism, and finding joy in each moment. Supporting an education is a direct investment into these students and their future. Through a sponsorship with Moja Tu, you have the opportunity to create a meaningful relationship with a student that will change not only their life, but yours as well.”
