Donor FAQs

As a donor you may have questions about donating, receipts, ways to give, etc.

Below are our donor frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@mojatu.org.

How can I donate?

You can donate to Moja Tu in the following ways:

You can donate via our website, mail a check, donate stock, or donate through a company-giving platform such as Benevity.

Additionally, you can also “Donate your Birthday.”

What is Donate your Birthday?

Donate your birthday is when you create a Facebook fundraiser on behalf of  Moja Tu. Birthdays are a great way to get the people you love involved in a cause you care about.

To create a Facebook fundraiser, click “Fundraise” under the “Create” subheading on the left side of your Facebook Newsfeed. On the “Who are you raising money for?” page, select “Nonprofit,” then search for and select “Moja Tu.” Then, follow the prompts to finish setting up your fundraiser! Facebook will send us the money you’ve raised once your fundraiser ends.

If you’d like to fundraise independently, please track who donated to your fundraiser, how much they donated, and their contact information. Please provide us with this information so we can send your donors donation acknowledgments for their generosity.

Can I donate physical items not just money?

Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to accept physical donations as it is difficult to travel to Kenya with physical donations.

How can I get a copy of my donation receipt?
