Dennis

All of our students are extraordinary and have overcome a lot in their education journey. While we’d like to tell all of their stories, let’s start with some stories selected especially for you.

Dennis

High school

Dennis is a bright, articulate, and ambitious Grade 9 student at Kapkures Primary School who is determined to use education to build a better future. At nearly 16 years old, he is the top-performing student in his class of 50 learners and continues to stand out for his academic excellence and leadership.

His favorite subjects are creative arts, sports, science, and languages. Through his school’s computer lab, Dennis has developed a strong interest in technology, especially coding and touch typing, which has inspired his dream of becoming a software engineer and web developer. He is highly motivated by innovation and enjoys building practical digital skills that bring him closer to his career goals.

Dennis has also been actively involved in STEM and innovation programs. Through Moja Tu and the Stemulate the World 2025 Robotics Tournament, he gained hands-on experience in robotics and teamwork, and his team placed 3rd. This experience strengthened his passion for technology and deepened his ambition to pursue a career in software development.

He is also a strong leader and athlete. Dennis is the captain of his school’s football team and one of the best players, known for his discipline, teamwork, and leadership on and off the field. He also serves as a Cabinet Secretary, helping to uphold the school’s language policy and supporting school activities, including library duties and cleaning responsibilities.

Dennis comes from a large family with six brothers and eleven sisters and lives with his single mother, who previously ran a business that later failed and is now a small-scale farmer. Despite financial challenges at home, Dennis remains focused, responsible, and committed to his education.

Dennis is a talented student and leader with a clear vision for his future. With sponsorship, he would be able to continue his education without interruption and fully develop his potential in technology, leadership, and academics. Supporting Dennis is an investment in a determined young man who is ready to transform his future and positively impact his community. Will you empower Dennis today?

About this Sponsorship

Sponsoring a secondary student is $1,020 a year, or $85 per month. Co-sponsoring a secondary student is $600 a year, or $50 per month. This amount covers the students’ tuition fees, and buys school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other personal effects required to live at boarding school.

The Sponsor Experience

  • Cassie and Elijah

“When we signed up to sponsor our students, we hoped it would help improve their lives. What we didn’t expect was how it would change ours.

Our students have become our teachers about life, gratitude, optimism, and finding joy in each moment. Supporting an education is a direct investment into these students and their future. Through a sponsorship with Moja Tu, you have the opportunity to create a meaningful relationship with a student that will change not only their life, but yours as well.”
