Sponsor a Student

All of our students are extraordinary and have overcome a lot in their education journey. While we’d like to tell all of their stories, let’s start with some stories selected especially for you.

Samuel

University

Samuel has gone through a lot in his young life. His father abandoned him, his mother, and his two siblings. This marked the beginning of the family’s troubles. Now alone, Samuel’s mother did everything she could to care for her children, one of whom lives with a disability. Life has not been easy, and Samuel’s elder sister, seeing the burden her mother was shouldering, moved out in search of a job to help support her family.

With having to care for Samuel’s brother, who has a mental health disability, his mother wasn’t able to provide for her family, let alone give education to Samuel. He had to drop out of school, and that’s when Moja Tu intervened and helped Samuel to join high school. But despite all these hurdles, Samuel has been earning good grades. He recently sat for his high school exit exam. He scored exceptionally well, earning a B+, which allowed him to join the university and pursue a bachelor’s in real estate. As part of this transition, we’re looking for a new sponsor to help support him in this next chapter of his education.

Samuel is a bright and disciplined student, and it will only take one person to create lasting change in his life. Will you be the Just One that Samuel needs? Sponsor him today!

The Sponsor Experience

  • Cassie and Elijah

“When we signed up to sponsor our students, we hoped it would help improve their lives. What we didn’t expect was how it would change ours.

Our students have become our teachers about life, gratitude, optimism, and finding joy in each moment. Supporting an education is a direct investment into these students and their future. Through a sponsorship with Moja Tu, you have the opportunity to create a meaningful relationship with a student that will change not only their life, but yours as well.”
