Sponsor a Student
All of our students are extraordinary and have overcome a lot in their education journey. While we’d like to tell all of their stories, let’s start with some stories selected especially for you.
Teresa is a determined student from Kisii County, Kenya. Despite facing numerous challenges, she has achieved impressive academic results and is now seeking sponsorship to ensure she can continue her studies without interruption.
Teresa comes from a humble background, living in a mud house with her single mother. Her mother works as a casual laborer to support their family. She enrolled in high school with the help of their village’s fundraising efforts, but the support ended, making it difficult for her to continue with her studies.
Teresa has demonstrated her abilities and passion for learning. During her primary exit exams, she achieved an impressive 396 marks, securing her a place in one of the top girls’ schools in the country.
Since starting high school, Teresa has excelled academically, scoring an A in Term 1. Kiswahili is her favorite subject, and she is determined to make the most of her educational opportunities.
By sponsoring/co-sponsoring Teresa, you would provide financial support and enable her to focus wholeheartedly on her studies without worrying about school fees. Will you help her break the cycle of poverty in her family by supporting her high school education?
About this Sponsorship
Sponsoring a secondary student is $1,020 a year, or $85 per month. Co-sponsoring a secondary student is $600 a year, or $50 per month. This amount covers the students’ tuition fees, and buys school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other personal effects required to live at boarding school.
The Sponsor Experience
Cassie and Elijah
“When we signed up to sponsor our students, we hoped it would help improve their lives. What we didn’t expect was how it would change ours.
Our students have become our teachers about life, gratitude, optimism, and finding joy in each moment. Supporting an education is a direct investment into these students and their future. Through a sponsorship with Moja Tu, you have the opportunity to create a meaningful relationship with a student that will change not only their life, but yours as well.”
