Christopher

All of our students are extraordinary and have overcome a lot in their education journey. While we’d like to tell all of their stories, let’s start with some stories selected especially for you.

Christopher

High school

Christopher is a hardworking and determined young man. He grew up in Makueni, where his parents do casual jobs to feed their family. Their income is not steady, and most days it only covers basic needs like food. With limited resources, education became difficult to afford, and school was never guaranteed.

From an early age, Christopher helped his parents on nearby farms so they could earn a little more. This meant less time to study and no safe space to focus on his education. Because of this, we welcomed him into Dream Children’s Home, our partner children’s home, so he could have a stable environment and a chance to return to school — something his family could not provide on their own.

Even after facing so many challenges, Christopher has not given up. He wants to stay in school, grow his skills, and build a better future for himself and his family. Your sponsorship can make this possible. With your support, Christopher will receive the education, stability, and opportunity he needs to break the cycle of poverty and achieve his goals.

About this Sponsorship

Sponsoring a secondary student is $1,020 a year, or $85 per month. Co-sponsoring a secondary student is $600 a year, or $50 per month. This amount covers the students’ tuition fees and buys school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other personal effects required to live at boarding school.

The Sponsor Experience

  • Cassie and Elijah

“When we signed up to sponsor our students, we hoped it would help improve their lives. What we didn’t expect was how it would change ours.

Our students have become our teachers about life, gratitude, optimism, and finding joy in each moment. Supporting an education is a direct investment into these students and their future. Through a sponsorship with Moja Tu, you have the opportunity to create a meaningful relationship with a student that will change not only their life, but yours as well.”
