Sinyari is a Form Four student at Kaumoni Boys High School and one of the most focused and determined students in the Moja Tu program. Coming from a humble background, he has learned to balance academics, responsibility, and personal ambition with a level of discipline that inspires everyone around him.
From a young age, he has loved the sciences. His favorite subjects are Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and they fuel his dream of becoming one of Kenya’s best doctors. This dream is more than a personal ambition for him. It is his way of transforming his family’s story and giving back to his community. “Becoming a doctor is not just a career for me; it is my way of helping my family and my society,” he shares.
His academic journey is grounded in hard work and consistency. He starts his day at 3:20 a.m. to study Mathematics, followed by completing his assignments. In the evenings, he dedicates time to revising his sciences and other subjects before going to bed. He also balances academics with games, ensuring he stays active and sharp both inside and outside the classroom. Through this disciplined routine and constant practice, he continues to improve both academically and personally.
His parents remain his greatest motivation. Their belief in his potential keeps him grounded, focused, and determined to achieve his dreams. However, his journey has not been without challenges. Balancing schoolwork with extracurricular activities, dealing with peer pressure, and managing a heavy workload have all tested his resilience. “Even when it’s tough, I remind myself to do the right thing at the right time,” he says calmly, reflecting his maturity.
A major pillar in his journey has been Moja Tu. Through the program, he receives school fees, personal essentials, and holiday shopping support; removing a heavy financial burden and allowing him to focus fully on his studies. He expresses deep gratitude for this support, saying, “Moja Tu has made it possible for me to continue learning. Without them, my education journey would have been very difficult.”
Looking ahead, he hopes to give back by supporting children from poor backgrounds and encouraging them to pursue education. He dreams of inspiring others the same way Moja Tu has inspired him. His long-term goal is to become a top doctor in Kenya, serving his community and helping those who need medical care the most.
During the school holidays, he happily assists his family with daily activities, including running errands, helping with chores, and supporting his parents wherever needed. He also finds time to reconnect with friends, enjoying a refreshing balance of work, rest, and laughter. These moments remind him why he is working so hard toward a better future.
Sinyari’s journey is a powerful reminder that discipline, purpose, and the right support can help any student rise above challenges and achieve their dreams. Moja Tu is proud to walk this journey with him as he prepares for his final exams and the bright future ahead.
