Samuel

University




Samuel experienced a lot during his young life. His father abandoned him, his mother, and his two siblings, marking the beginning of the family’s troubles. Now alone, Samuel’s mother did everything she could to care for her children, one of whom lives with a disability. Life was not easy, and Samuel’s elder sister, seeing the burden her mother was shouldering, moved out, searching for a job to help support her family.

By having to care for Samuel’s brother, who has a disability, his mother isn’t able to provide for her family, let alone give education to Samuel. He had to drop out of school, and that’s when Moja Tu intervened and helped Samuel to join high school. But despite all these hurdles, Samuel has been earning good grades. He scored exceptionally well in his high school exit exam, earning a B+, which allowed him to join the university and pursue a bachelor’s in real estate. He’s currently in his first year.

About this Sponsorship

Sponsoring a university student costs $2,100 a year or $175 per month, and co-sponsoring with another sponsor costs $1080 a year or $90 monthly. This amount will cover the student’s tuition fees, monthly upkeep, accommodation, and medical care.
