Billy is a form four graduate from our class of 2019. He is super excited to have finished his secondary school studies and is now looking forward to joining university later this year. For Billy it has taken a lot of determination to come this far. Having been abandoned by his parents at a young age, Sons of Manaseh Children’s Home is the only place he knows as home.
His hard work has helped him finish his secondary school studies with an excellent grade on his KCSE examinations. We recently caught up with him to learn more about his time in Moja Tu:
“When I look back to where I was before joining Moja Tu, I had little to look forward to in life. I was not sure if I was ever going to finish secondary school. Now I am all grown, finished with high school, and looking forward to joining Kenyatta University to pursue a degree in Applied Mathematics. I truly am soaring to greater heights!
I am currently enrolled in computer classes, where I am sharpening my computer skills which will come in handy once I join University. My life has been transformed because someone believed in me and decided to sponsor my education. I would like to take this chance to thank my dear sponsors, Donna and Dan, for making my dreams come true.
The best thing that Moja Tu has done to make my life better is giving me the opportunity to be in school. Education is a great equalizer as it removes the barriers on what one can achieve. I would like to one day give back to my community. Truly, those to whom much has been given, much will be required. Thank you Moja Tu.”
