At Moja Tu, we believe that education is the key to unlocking a brighter future. Through our partnership with Stemulate the World, we are bringing the power of robotics to underserved communities in Kenya, giving students the opportunity to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
As we celebrate National Robotics Week, we take pride in the incredible strides we have made in promoting STEM education among young learners in Laikipia, Kenya. This initiative has already impacted hundreds of students, opening their eyes to the vast possibilities that technology and innovation offer.
Transforming Education Through Robotics

In the past year, we have successfully hosted two robotics tournaments at primary schools in Laikipia, where students were introduced to coding, engineering principles, and hands-on problem-solving. These tournaments have provided an exciting platform for young minds to explore robotics, build and program their own robots, and compete in challenges that test their creativity and teamwork.
For many of these students, this was their first encounter with robotics. The excitement in their eyes as they assembled and programmed their robots was a testament to the impact of this initiative. It was not just about winning a competition but empowering them to dream bigger and envision careers in technology, engineering, and innovation.
Building Momentum: The Third Robotics Tournament
With two successful tournaments behind us, we are excited to announce our third robotics tournament at Raya Primary School in Laikipia, Kenya, on Saturday, May 10. This tournament will bring together young learners who are eager to test their skills, collaborate with their peers, and push the boundaries of what they can create.
Through this event, we aim to continue nurturing the next generation of Kenyan innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers. Each tournament strengthens students’ confidence, enhances their technical skills, and ignites their curiosity for STEM-related fields.
Why Robotics Matters?
In underserved communities, access to quality STEM education is often limited. Many students grow up without exposure to the latest technological advancements, making it challenging for them to envision careers in science and engineering. By introducing robotics to these young learners, we are not only providing them with valuable skills but also showing them that they, too, can be part of the global tech revolution.
Robotics fosters creativity, critical thinking, and resilience—all essential skills for the 21st-century workforce. Beyond that, it teaches students the value of persistence, teamwork, and innovation. These are the qualities that will shape the leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers of tomorrow.
As we gear up for our third tournament, we invite more partners to join Stemulate the World and Moja Tu in expanding this initiative. With continued support, we can reach more schools, introduce advanced robotics concepts, and create even greater opportunities for these talented young minds.
Together, let’s continue to stemulate a future where every child, regardless of background, has the chance to learn, innovate, and lead.
