At Moja Tu, we believe education opens doors to a brighter future and Peter, one of our proud alumni, is living proof of this. His journey is not just about personal success but also about the power of giving back and inspiring the next generation.
Peter joined Moja Tu just as he was about to start high school. That sponsorship was a turning point in his life. It provided him with stability, confidence, and the freedom to focus fully on his education. With Moja Tu’s support, Peter completed high school and went on to study Business and Information Technology at KCA University. Last year, he proudly graduated, ready to take on the professional world.
Today, Peter applies his IT expertise at Priority Wild Safaris, a leading player in the tourism industry, where technology is transforming how organizations operate and serve clients. From booking systems to digital marketing and customer experience, Peter is at the heart of driving efficiency and innovation. His love for technology stems from a simple but powerful motivation: solving real-world problems.
But Peter’s story doesn’t end with his career success. Grateful for the opportunities Moja Tu opened for him, he has chosen to come full circle by mentoring Moja Tu’s university students. “Mentorship is my way of giving back to the community that supported me,” Peter says. He knows firsthand how overwhelming it can be to balance academics, career preparation, and personal growth. Through mentorship, he equips students not just with technical IT skills but also with the confidence and strategies to position themselves for success in the job market.
For Peter, the lessons he shares go beyond coding or systems. He emphasizes problem-solving, adaptability, continuous learning, and soft skills like communication and teamwork. He also reminds his mentees that success comes from consistency and resilience. “I believe mentorship shortens the learning curve and helps students avoid common pitfalls while inspiring them to remain committed to their goals,” he explains.

Looking ahead, Peter sees digital skills as a vital driver of Kenya’s growth especially in industries like tourism. With e-commerce, data-driven decision-making, and digital storytelling reshaping the business landscape, he believes young people have the potential to lead Kenya into this new era, provided they are equipped with the right tools.
When asked what role Moja Tu played in his journey, Peter doesn’t hesitate: “Moja Tu was a cornerstone in my journey. They not only supported my education financially but also believed in my potential and encouraged me to dream bigger. Without Moja Tu, I would not have had the same access to education, mentorship, and personal growth that ultimately shaped my career path.”
Peter’s journey embodies the ripple effect of education. By giving back as a mentor, he is helping others navigate challenges, dream bigger, and prepare for the future. His story is a reminder that the true measure of success is not just how far you go, but how many others you uplift along the way.
As Peter himself says:
“Gratitude drives me to give back. Because someone once believed in me, I now believe in the next generation.”
