Sponsor a Student

All of our students are extraordinary and have overcome a lot in their education journey. While we’d like to tell all of their stories, let’s start with some stories selected especially for you.

Abigael

High school

Abigael is a bright and determined 16-year-old with a passion for education. She recently joined Junior High school this year. Inspired by her love for language and desire to impact others, she dreams of becoming an English and Kiswahili teacher. Her favorite subject is English, where she excels, thanks to her articulate and confident nature.

As the sixth of eight children, Abigael knows the challenges of growing up in a large family. Her mother, the sole provider, works as a casual laborer to support the family, but the financial burden is overwhelming. With limited resources, continuing her education is a challenge for Abigael.

Despite these obstacles, she remains focused on her goals and is determined to break the cycle of poverty through her studies. By sponsoring Abigael, you will give her the opportunity to complete her education and realize her dream of becoming a teacher. Your support will not only change her life but also inspire her to make a positive impact on her community. Sponsor Abigael today and be part of her journey to success!

About this Sponsorship

Sponsoring a secondary student is $1,020 a year, or $85 per month. Co-sponsoring a secondary student is $600 a year, or $50 per month. This amount covers the students’ tuition fees, and buys school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other personal effects required to live at boarding school.

The Sponsor Experience

  • Cassie and Elijah

“When we signed up to sponsor our students, we hoped it would help improve their lives. What we didn’t expect was how it would change ours.

Our students have become our teachers about life, gratitude, optimism, and finding joy in each moment. Supporting an education is a direct investment into these students and their future. Through a sponsorship with Moja Tu, you have the opportunity to create a meaningful relationship with a student that will change not only their life, but yours as well.”
