Samuel

University




Samuel is a young man who has faced adversity head-on and emerged stronger. The 2007/2008 post-election violence in Kenya changed his life forever, as he and his siblings were forced out of their home. Luckily, Samuel and his siblings moved in with their grandmother. She is in her eighties and lacks the strength to meet her young grandchildren’s needs. She sells vegetables in the local market, but her advanced age limits her ability to make the most of her trade.

However, despite his challenges, Samuel has remained committed to his education, living according to his mantra, “education is life itself.”

Now a high school graduate, Samuel scored a remarkable B+ in his final exams, a testament to his hard work and dedication to his studies. He is eager to continue his education at the university level and pursue his dreams of becoming a doctor.

Samuel has demonstrated resilience, determination, and kindness throughout his life. Despite having to grow up quickly and taking on the responsibilities of caring for his siblings and elderly grandmother, he has always remained optimistic and driven. He is a role model to his siblings, who look up to him as a source of inspiration and guidance.

Samuel’s ultimate goal is to use his education to improve the lives of his family and community. He believes education is the key to unlocking a brighter future for himself and everyone around him. With the right support, Samuel is poised to achieve great things, and as a sponsor, you would be investing in a young man with boundless potential and a heart full of gratitude.

About this Sponsorship

Sponsoring a university student costs $2,100 a year or $175 per month, and co-sponsoring with another sponsor costs $1080 a year or $90 monthly. This amount will cover the student’s tuition fees, monthly upkeep, accommodation, and medical care.
