Moja Tu

Meet Semy: Steering Her Course!

Semy is a brilliant form three student at Precious Blood Girls High school, a national school in Nairobi.  Since joining our program as a form 1 student, we have watched Semy transform into a responsible young woman. We are so excited to see the progress she has made over the past three years and we can’t wait to see her soar to even greater heights in the future. Here is what Semy had to say about her time in Moja Tu so far…

“It’s amazing how quick time flies. It feels like just the other day that I first joined secondary school. Three years down the line, I have so much to be grateful for in life. My best subjects in school are biology and history. I love biology because it educates me on our daily life processes; history teaches us about our past so we can apply it to our future. I am also the chairlady of the school’s drama club. This is where I get to relieve all the stress and challenges that come with classes. Through this club, I have been able to represent our school in the inter-school drama festivals.

Next year I will be in my final year of high school. This is what I have been looking forward to all these years. I would like to go to university and eventually become a doctor. I know this will require a lot of work but I am ready to fight with everything I have to achieve my goals. Without Moja Tu’s help, I can’t imagine what life would be like now. Moja Tu has enabled me to steer my own course for my future. I would like to thank the entire organization and most especially my sponsors for believing in me. I promise to keep working hard in my studies so that I can make this world a better place to live in. Thank you Moja Tu.”
