Meet Francis

Francis comes from a rough family, but he hopes that education can save him. After his mother abandoned them several years ago, he has grown up with his father. Francis values education because he wants to be a role model for his younger siblings. He aspires to work as a meteorologist.

Despite scoring 301 in his KCPE, Francis is concerned that he may be unable to continue to secondary school since his alcoholic father cannot afford to pay school tuition. His older brother had qualified for secondary school, but he had to drop out since his father could not afford to pay his secondary school fees.

Sponsoring Francis will not only help him realize his goals, but it will also help his family break away from the poverty cycle. Francis hopes to return to his hometown and assist the less fortunate once he has achieved his dreams.

Sponsoring a secondary student is $1,020 a year, or $85 per month. This amount covers the students' tuition fees, and buys school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other personal effects required to live at boarding school.
