Hundreds of thousands of primary school students will be taking their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams at the end of 2018. Most of them will never have to worry if their parents can afford their school fees. Their futures, to them are assured. Unfortunately, this is not the case for our friend Eleazor.
Eleazor, a class 8 student at Baraka Benchmark Academy, was able to get through primary school through the goodwill of family friends, who all pitched in to help him pay his school fees. However, this support, though very generous, will not be able to take him all the way to high school, which is considerably more expensive than primary school. Although he is only 15 years old, the poverty his family lives in weighs heavily on his young heart. He is constantly worried about his parents, who do not have a steady source of income to support the family. To get his mind off the challenges at home, Eleazor immerses himself in athletics – he is the prefect of sports at his school. He has a soft spot for students with special needs, and he enjoys training them in different sports. He also tries his hands in acting in school plays from time to time.
Eleazar is determined to make his mark on society. He understands the value of education as a tool to escape poverty, and he wants to help his family and community by finishing his. A sponsorship is Eleazar’s only shot at continuing his education. Please help him achieve his goals by sponsoring him today.
Sponsoring Eleazor's secondary education is $85/month. Thank you for sponsoring Just One!
