Meet Alvin

Born and raised in the slums of Nairobi, Alvin sat for his secondary entry examination last year. He scored a very impressive mark that would have made him eligible to join a good secondary school. However, the situation at Alvin’s home has been grim. His family’s immediate problem is putting food on the table for the day, which requires everyone to work. Despite Alvin’s desire to pursue his education, he has to instead look for work as a casual laborer on the estates of Nairobi’s upper class. He has sought financial aid for school from various government offices, highlighting his impressive test scores, but has not had any luck in getting the help he needs.

Alvin wants to become a great person in society, and knows that the only way to do so is to get his education. He is a sociable young man who loves making new friends. He needs help with paying his school fees and purchasing school supplies to join secondary school. Help Alvin achieve his dream of becoming an electrical engineer in future.
